Fun project using Adorn It Rhapsody Collection

Monday, June 29, 2015

Hello friends. Today I am sharing a super cute project tutorial that I found via You Tube. I'll share the  original video with the how to and link below to give credit to the creator of the video.

I love sending handmade thank you notes. I also realize that not everyone enjoys the art of making them yourself so I like to give handmade card sets to friends and family. This tutorial is so easy and uses minimal supplies. What I loved most about it is that you can get out those old brads you have in your stash and use them!

I of course modified my project a bit to suit my supplies.

What you need: From the Adorn it Rhapsody collection:
Sticker sheet with 12" border stickers
1 sheet of patterned cardstock cut at 4 x 12
1 sheet of solid cardstock cut at 5 1/4 x 2 1/2  and for the handles 1 1/2 x 8 1/2
Misc flower punches or dies (I used large and medium paper daisy blossoms by McGill)
4 brads of your choice
Adhesive: Therm-O-Web i-Craft Easy Tear tape

Here's how mine turned out.

I added punched medallions by Martha Stewart and brads and sticky back bling from Eyelet Outlet.

What a fantastic gift for a friend right? This is a great project for teens too!

Here's the video and link for this project for all the step by steps. I hope you will give it a try too!

Foiling with Anna Griffin

Saturday, June 27, 2015

For Anna's last HSN show I created some fun cards using the very popular foiling technique. Anna offered a variety of pre-tonered sentiments and die cuts that you can foil yourself in any color you choose!

Here's my first card with a gold foiled background and sentiment.

I love the 5X7 solid toner sheets because I was able to use Anna's dies to cut the background and foil.

Another background foiled in Gold and a matching sentiment.

Foiled background patter, sentiment and butterfly.

This was my fave. I love making rosettes and the foiled sentiment was perfect!

Deco Foil Mini Cards

Wednesday, June 17, 2015

I wanted to share some quick mini cards I created with a free printable I found via Pinterest here. These were easy to print out using my laser print that has a toner ink.
I like switching up the sizes of my cards so today's cards are 4x4 and this printable is perfect for smaller cards.

iCraft Deco Foil Card Set

First I printed them using a laser printer.

Next I cut them all up so I could easily apply the Gold Deco Foil.

Pic 7

For the first card, cut the Gold Deco Foil™ the same size as the printable and run thru the laminator in a carrier sheet to apply the foil.

Pic3

Next print out a sheet of cardstock with toner and then use your favorite dies and Gold Deco Foil™ to create a fun accent to go along with the sentiment.

Now put it all together by cutting the cardstock at 4x4 and the patterned paper at 3 3/4 x 3 3/4 and using the Memory Tape Runner XL adhere to the card base. Then using 3D Foam Squares adhere the die cut and sentiment. Finish off the card with twine.
For the next card I chose the Pink Melon Deco Foil™.

For this card adhere the patterned paper and layer the printables with 3D Foam Squares. Finish off the card with a twine bow.

For the last card cut the toner paper with butterfly dies and Teal Deco Foil™ and run them thru the laminator with a carrier sheet.

My Favorite Things Sketch # 231

Monday, June 8, 2015

Hello Monday! I'm popping in to link up my card for this week's

My Favorite Things

Here's my little friend. I made this card for Lily's teacher. I wanted to thank her because the kids all gave me a wonderful book Friday filled with handwritten thank you notes for being a Room Mom. I was lucky to have a fabulous Co-Room Mom named Kim this year. It was such a sweet little book. My heart just swelled!

MFT Bonus Sketch

Sunday, June 7, 2015

I finished this card two weeks ago and have completely forgotten to post it to my blog. My home has been turned upside down with the airport soundproofing. Windows ripped out, air ducts put in and closet space reduced by 50%. My past couple of weeks haven been complete mayhem. Believe me when I tell you that I am ready to get back to crafting.

Here's the Sketch

So here's my card for the Page Maps/ MFT Bonus Sketch Challenge.

Supplies: MFT Die-Namics: Gerbera Daisy MFT Stamps: LLD Tickled Pink, BG Cheesecloth Background. Adhesive: Therm-O-Web Sticky Strip Runner3D Foam Squares Combo pack.

I loved scattering the Gerber Daisies across the front of my card. These dies are one of my most favorite to create with.
